1. Who we are

Halasoft For Business Solutions Inc. ("Halasoft", "we") is a Microsoft partner in the Greater Toronto Area that implements, supports and integrates Microsoft Dynamics, Power Platform and AI solutions. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information through our website (halasoft.ca), our communications and our consulting engagements, in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

 

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver our services: contact details you give us (name, company, job title, email, phone and your message) when you use our contact form, email or call us; business relationship information such as billing contacts, contracts, invoices and project correspondence; basic website usage data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by our website platform and cookies; and, when a client engages us, personal information held in the client's Microsoft systems, accessed only as needed to perform the work (see section 4).

 

3. How we use and share it

We use personal information to answer inquiries, prepare proposals, deliver and support our services, invoice, and send occasional updates about our services. We do not sell personal information. By contacting us or engaging our services, you consent to this use. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. We share information only with service providers that help us operate, such as our website host (Wix) and email and productivity tools (Microsoft 365), which are bound to protect it; with Microsoft, where needed to register opportunities, licenses or partner programs on a client's behalf; and with authorities, where required by law.

 

4. Client data, storage, retention and security

When we work in a client's Microsoft environment, the client controls that data. We access it through accounts the client provides, use it only to perform the agreed work, and follow the client's instructions and our agreement with them. Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls, multi-factor authentication and encrypted cloud services, to protect information against loss and unauthorized access.

 

5. Cookies, your rights and contact

Our website uses cookies for basic operation and visitor statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work without them. You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw consent, subject to legal limits. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca). We may update this policy and will post the new version on this page with its effective date.
